The Damned à Montréal en mai 2017

Le mythique groupe punk The Damned sera de passage au Club Soda à Montréal le 2 mai 2017 dans le cadre de sa tournée 40e anniversaire.

Formé en 1976, The Damned se passe de présentation… Vastement considéré comme le groupe derrière le premier groupe punk britannique à avoir tourné en Amérique, et sont généralement cités comme une influence majeure pour toute une génération de groupe punk et hardcore dont Black Flag et Bad Brains.

En novembre dernier, The Damned soulignait les 40 ans de la parution de leur premier single New Rose, tiré de leur premier album Damned Damned Damned, qui lui, paraissait en février 1977.

Un nouvel album serait dans les plans. Aucune date de sortie n’est prévue pour l’instant. Il s’agirait d’un premier album pour David Vanian, Captain Sensible, Monty Oxymoron, Andrew ‘Pinch’ Pinching et Stu West depuis So, Who’s Paranoid?, paru en 2008.
